Today we have 23 locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Burnaby, Victoria, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge, in addition to serving the Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Manager, supporting Sales Consultants throughout British Columbia, to join our team and share in our passion for the beauty industry. Modern Beauty Supplies Inc. distributes professional salon, barber shop and spa beauty supplies to licensed industry professionals. We carry several different color lines and aesthetic products, along with a full range of cosmetics and accessories.

Expectations:

  • Advise, assist, train and mentor Sales Consultants to ensure sales targets are being met
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and other meetings and industry events to enhance professional knowledge and/or to promote the Company
  • Provide support in addressing customer concerns
  • Act as a liaison with manufactures as required
  • Preparation of sales reports and other reports as required
  • Meet regularly with the support staff to ensure proper information flow and adherence to stated goals and objectives
  • Remain visible in the business community and in the market place in which the company operates
  • Other duties and tasks as required
  •  

    Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and achieve sales quotas
  • Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate a sales department with 10 or more employees in the department
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Sufficient mathematical skill and the ability to do routine business math calculations including sales costs and quotes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively run a department
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • 8-10 years’ experience in B2B sales preferred
  • At least 3 years of management experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • A valid passport is also required - frequent travel, which may include travel outside of Canada
