We are looking for an Digital Media Coordinator to join our fast-paced Marketing team at our Calgary Head Office location. We are seeking an individual with a positive and professional attitude, and strong written and oral communication skills who can manage our online webstore. Position Summary:

An digital media coordinator's job is like that of a manager from a tangible retail store. The difference is the digital media coordinator does not need to talk with clients in person but will communicate primarily in email or over the phone as necessary. This includes troubleshooting online customer issues and helping the right problem reach the right person. This person will also be assisting Modern Beauty Business Advisors to help get their customers registered for online accounts. The digital media coordinator’s main responsibility is to make sure that all the items being sold are up to date, have the correct sizes, prices, descriptions etc. An digital media coordinator needs to be organized and have good computer and SEO skills. They must be hard working and available for customer service especially during store hours. They must be results-oriented with a meticulous eye for details and consistency. A love for beauty products is a huge plus!

Expectations:

An digital media coordinator is responsible for everything that goes on in the store’s website. This includes the posting/displaying of the goods, making sure that all links are working, updating the database, and of course, customer service. To make sure that the online store continuously runs smoothly, the digital media coordinator must always respond to emails as well as answer phone messages from both their clients and suppliers in 24 hours or less. The digital media coordinator also approves customers that register to use the online store, verifying their credentials based on company standards. This person should be able to check inventory and when products need to be updated or removed from the website. The digital media coordinator also ensures that online promotions are properly set up for their duration of the offerings. MailChimp experience is a bonus as this person will input images, texts and schedule our e-mail promotions.

Tasks:

  • Revising and creating web content and managing all email campaigns
  • Maintain and manage Modern's digital productions
  • Exporting Modern-designed Eblasts using MailChimp – this includes creating appropriate links for each campaign and scheduling these campaigns
  • Create new product listings for the website using Modern templates
  • Create hyperlinks within the new buyer’s guide (every 2 months)
  • Creating/updating graphics from pre-existing templates in Photoshop
  • Creating and navigating the backend of the online store (create categories, add products to sale categories, etc.)
  • Adding new Brands to the website and adding products to our “What’s New" section on our main page
  • Preparing limited-time deals for quick sale

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to adhere to a schedule while paying close attention to detail
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill required tasks
  • Must be a team player and able to follow directions in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, professionalism and communication skill

Education/Experience:

  • Degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design or similar field preferred
  • Proficient in various programs, such as Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) on Mac
  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop) is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Administration, Website or retail related settings is preferred
  • Internship experience and previous entry level experience will be considered as working experience
